Condiments / South Carolina Mustard BBQ Sauce Recipe (Spicy)
South Carolina has a BBQ style fairly specific to the region, pork rules supreme and a mustard based BBQ sauce can be found as commonly as ketchup. There are commercial brands of S. Carolina style mustard BBQ sauce that are excellent as well, Reverend Marvin's comes to mind, a staple in our kitchen. But when the supply runs low we make the recipe below, a traditional spicy South Carolina mustard BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 lime, juiced and zested
