2013 has brought much change to our seasonings. I should say to the look of our seasonings, the recipes are the same .

Beginning in 2013 we repackaged our Knox’s Spice Co dry rub seasonings in larger jars. The new jars are are almost twice the size and still have the unique look of Knox’s Seasonings. Our new jars are made in the U.S.A. and are lightweight gourmet food quality PET plastic. More seasoning, less shipping, safer jar. Everybody wins.

With less stress over breaking jars we have updated our gift baskets and have added 2 new gift items for 2013, the Gift Set and The Gift Basket.

BBQ and grilling gifts that are all gift. Over a pound of all natural gourmet dry rub seasoning packaged in a decorative band or in a gift basket. A unique and attractive gift.

Our ‘Gift Set’ is a tidy bundle of gourmet bbq seasonings (above left). All four Knox’s Spice Co. seasonings; Jamaican Jerk, Cracked Pepper, Yummy Chicken and Chipotle BBQ. Strapped together with a wood print band, complete with a carton staple in the back.
Our ‘Gift Basket’, well what can we say. It is simple, our gourmet bbq seasonings and a basket (above right). No fluffy tissue or bows. No ribbons or colorful packaging. But dry your eyes our Gift Basket contains over a pound of all natural meat seasoning and you cannot eat fluffy tissue. If you used the basket to light the grill it would completely useful and that makes us happy. Hopefully it will make you happy as well.

Enjoy!

Fruit seasonings can be found in any spanish neighborhood grocery, salsa en polvo is what it is typically called. They are used on fresh fruit to add color and enhance the natural sweetness of the fruit. Knox Bro’s. Fruit Seasoning uses crushed Aleppo peppers from Syria as we found them to be the most flavorful but very mild for our blend. This seasoning is surely a tasty treat. Just sprinkle over freshly cut fruit to turn it into a fruit treat worthy of serving as a dessert.

You will find yourself eating much more fruit and even serving fresh fruit as a snack more often as Knox Bro’s. fruit seasoning makes it fun with a delicious twist. All natural and gluten free. Order yours today.

If you are warming up for summer grilling season or maybe are already in summer grilling season or maybe you are always in grilling season, here is something we do that allows for infinite variation and flavor profile. Note that glazes are not marinades and are brushed or poured onto cooked meats the last couple minutes of cooking.

Easy Glaze:

3 Tablespoons Orange Marmalade

1 Tablespoons Tabasco Sauce

Put marmalade and hot sauce in a small bowl. Heat for 20-30 seconds in microwave until melted. Mix together. Brush onto grilled foods requiring a sweet and spicy glaze. Chicken is what we typically use this style glaze with but pork and vegetables are just as tasty.

Note: Something more tropical, use pineapple preserves. On pork use apple jelly and Knox’s Ambrosia pepper Sauce. The sky is the limit. With so many different jellies, jams, preserves, marmalades and hot sauces the combinations are endless.

Also makes a great sauce for fruit salsa, I guess we should post a recipe fro that soon.

Enjoy!
