Spring is springing

We had a rough start to our year, to say the least. My favorite person and little brother Tim Knox passed away Jan. 31 2010 of complications to pulmonary fibrosis. We have been devastated from his loss and miss him very much.
His vision, experimentation and input drove Knox's Spice to reach for the stars, slowly but surely.
Now with spring knocking on the door we are looking forward to some updates that had been put on hold. New packaging is on the way and hopefully will be fully implemented by the end of summer.
Besides rave reviews we receive about our rubs we also receive ideas on improvement. The biggest was to have the ability to reseal our dry rubs. Problem solved. As inventory drops we will be replacing our box with a glass jar, both to retain freshness and allow you to reseal our dry rubs.
In the beginning, we always thought our dry rubs would be purchased and used all at once. It seems that people buy our rubs for many reasons, not just to season racks of ribs, brisket and chickens, but to season dressings or even just a hamburger.
Our Yummy Chicken was so well received we discontinued the 1oz. size and currently sell it in a 4 oz shaker bottle. This will also become available in the new jar.
Sadly because of manufacturing cost the Pork Delight was discontinued until further notice.
We have some dry rubs in the works and as soon as we can get back behind the grill will be testing a Fish Rub, a Mexican Pork Rub a South American (Yucatan) and Thai dry rub. Personally my new favorite is split between the South American and Thai rubs. The Yucatan Rub has been kitchen tested on pork and chicken with great results. Mixed with Orange and lime juice it is truly a spectacular blend.
With heavy hearts we move forward and look forward to the rest of the BBQ and cooking season.
Enjoy!
