Pork / Pork chop recipe

Pork chops can be prepared on a grill, oven or stove top. This tasty cut can be prepared in hundreds, possibly thousands, of ways. Recipe times are approximate. For accurately cooked pork please use a meat thermometer. Pork is considered done when the internal temperature is 160 degrees F.

BBQ Pork Chops

BBQ pork chops are a great way to prepare and grill a stack of pork chops for friends.

Pork Chops
Salt
Ground Pepper
BBQ Sauce

Salt and pepper pork chops on both sides. You can either place in refrigerator until grill is ready or place then on the grill at this time. The important part is that you sprinkle or rub salt and pepper into your chops. This aids not only in the flavor of your pork chops but it aids in retaining natural moisture so they are juicy an succulent.

Grill until cooked through and lightly browned by the grill. Depending on the thickness of your pork cope you may need more or less time. Use a meat thermometer.

Now it is time for the BBQ sauce. We wait until the pork chops are cooked to reduce the chances od burning the sugars in the BBQ sauce. Brush on BBQ sauce and turn chicken to create a beautiful glaze. Wait a couple of minutes before serving. Waiting allows the liquids in the pork chop to redistribute so they will be equally as excellent for every bite.

Baked Pork Chops with Apples

There are many ways to bake pork chops but a natural combination is with apples. We use thick pork chops, about 1 1/2 inches thick.

• Pork chops
• Apples - halved and cored
• Honey
• Salt and Pepper

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Sprinkle or rub pork chops with salt and pepper and place in oiled pan. Cover each pork chop with apple halves and drizzle with honey. Place in oven for approximately 45 minutes or until internal temperature is 160 degrees F. Serve with apples in tact.

Enjoy!
